Head Teacher's Welcome

On behalf of our school community, I am delighted to welcome you to Clanfield Junior School’s website. I am very proud to be the Headteacher of this wonderful school where our children are at the heart of everything we do. We strongly believe in letting children experience the joy and wonder of play throughout their school life, and we take an active role in protecting childhood at all costs. Our staff take great pride in offering a wide range of experiences that help children discover their passions, strengths and new interests. We have an abundance of visitors, events and extra trips to help our children develop as unique individuals

The school has the most beautiful grounds and we value the positive impact being outdoors has on our children. All pupils have opportunities to play in our forest area, experience the mud kitchen, make dens and spend time with their friends. Our courtyard and pond area are also highly popular spaces to be in! Our school councillors have helped us build up a huge bank of resources and toys for break times, and we make sure there is something for everyone- Lego, dolls houses, vehicles, construction, sports and much more.

Our school values of Be Kind, Be Resilient, Be Respectful and Be Curious underpin all that we do to support our children and staff to be The Best That They Can Be. Our dedicated staff are kind and work together to help children flourish and thrive. We are very proud of our pupils and their array of achievements, including our high KS2 results, and ensure our children develop both personally and academically.

Enjoy looking through our website - you will find lots of examples of our child-centred approach and how children help us to make school improvements. Please do not hesitate to contact our school office for further information- they will be happy to help you. Visits to the school from prospective parents are warmly welcomed.  If you would like to see our fantastic school for yourself, please contact the school office to make an appointment.

We look forward to meeting you,

Kati Dawkins
