Safeguarding

Safeguarding our children in school

What is Safeguarding?

Safeguarding means the actions we take and the systems we have in place at Clanfield Junior School to promote the welfare of our children and to protect them from harm. Safeguarding is our top priority and we work hard to make sure it is a consideration in all aspected of school life.

We follow the key steps below to safeguard our children:

  • Protect our children and learners from mistreatment,
  • Prevent impairment of our children’s and learners’ health or development,
  • Ensure that our children and learners are growing up in circumstances consistent with the provision of safe and effective care,

Our Safeguarding Team:

Designated Safeguarding Lead - Mrs Kati Dawkins (Headteacher)

Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead - Mrs Katie Pinhorne (Deputy Headteacher and SENDCo)

Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead - Mrs Caroline Moakes (ELSA)

Safeguarding Governor - Christin Willet

All DSL's at Clanfield wear a Yellow Lanyard to make them easily recognisable  in school.
